  8. Encrypted Magic Folders (EMF) provides automated & transparent 
  9. encryption!  Simply select folders whose files you want encrypted and 
  10. EMF not only makes those folders and files completely invisible to others 
  11. but decrypts and encrypts the files automatically and transparently as 
  12. you use them.  You won't even notice the encryption as EMF does all the 
  13. work behind the scenes.  Access to your encrypted files will be so normal 
  14. and fast you'll probably forget you're using encrypted files.

  16. As further protection your invisible folders and files can't be deleted, 
  17. viewed, modified, or run by unauthorized users.  For all practical 
  18. purposes they don't exist.  Use EMF to protect your finances, taxes, 
  19. client information, business and personal documents.  Laptop users find 
  20. it invaluable for protecting data you wouldn't want made public if your 
  21. laptop is stolen.  Not only will others not know your hidden files exist, 
  22. they won't be able to accidentally delete or modify them either.  With 
  23. EMF you can turn over your computer to your children or your co-workers 
  24. without worrying if they'll delete, modify or view important files.

  26. Yet, just enter your password and you'll instantly have complete and 
  27. normal access to all your folders and the files within.  There's no need 
  28. to un-hide and decrypt each file or folder individually.  And EMF is 
  29. totally transparent.  No one need know your invisible and encrypted 
  30. folders/files even exist.

  32. If you wish, you can establish 5 different accounts so everyone using 
  33. your computer can create invisible and encrypted folders only they have 
  34. access to.

  36. The method used to by EMF to encrypt your folders is proprietary.  It 
  37. combines good security with excellent speed.  THERE IS NO BACKDOOR.  If 
  38. you forget your password there is nothing we can do to decrypt your 
  39. files.

  41. If you're using a non-english version of Win95 you may need the english 
  42. version of VBRUN300.DLL.  You can get it at: http://www.pc-
  43. magic.com/vbrun300.zip

  45. EMF requires Windows 95.  It works with FAT32.

  47. If you don't need the extra protection encryption provides you may want 
  48. to check out "Magic Folders" which is almost identical to EMF except it 
  49. provides no encryption.  It does however run on Win 3.x as well as Win 
  50. 95.  In addition, it's $29 registration fee is half that of EMF.  You can 
  51. get Magic Folders at http://www.pc-magic.com

  53. You'll need a blank floppy disk for use during installation.
